RA Series 32-bit MCUs

This page is for the Renesas RA family of MCUs. The main goal is to make the information about RA MCUs friendly, easy to access for embedded developers.

Getting Started with RA

Other resources on Renesas Website.  Links below are pre-configured searches.  You can modify them as needed.  

e2studio is the Renesas supported IDE. You can also use EWARM and Keil IDEs.  Supported toolchains are Arm GNU Toolchain, LLVM Embedded Toolchain for Arm, IAR Compiler, and Arm Compiler.  3rd party IDEs and toolchains are supported by respective partner companies.  

Each FSP version and supported tools are available from the Releases page.  Bundled platform installers are available at the bottom of each FSP version under Assets section.

Your First RA Project

This is your first RA project.  It simply blinks the LEDs on EK-RA8D1 board.  The project introduce you to e2studio, RA project creator, and FSP Configurator.  The steps are the same for all official Renesas RA series boards.  It is also a good test of your development environment checking all tools are installed correctly and working.
